Find out how a work-at-home voice artist typically works less than 4 hours a day

Former teacher, human resource manager, broadcaster, and realtor Julie Eickhoff decided after her daughter was born that she was way too busy and that working from home would make sense for her family’s sanity.

So she figured out a way to do it, dug in, researched, set up a home studio, and got going on becoming a work-at-home voice artist.

Since 2011, Eickhoff has narrated over 80 audiobooks, textbooks, recorded web videos, radio ads, movie theater ads, eLearning projects, telephone surveys, and many other projects.

After being asked frequently how to get started in her industry, Eickhoff developed an online course that teaches people in a very comprehensive way how to set up their own home recording studio and work from home.

  • Great podcast! I am very interested in getting started doing VO’s, people tell me all the tine I have a great voice- that draws people in. I just need to do more research on where I can utilize my VO. I work full time and my job is time consuming. Since I’m interested, I know I can squeeze some extra time in.

Thanks for listening, Sheba! Best wishes with your VO career! You got this! :)
  • I've never considered this as an option, but now that I think about it, I might check it out. I don't have a James Earl Jones voice or anything, but I can do a pretty good impersonation of each of the last 7 US Presidents. :-)

Hi, James! I'm so glad it inspired you! :)
